Jalen Hira joined Woodville at the beginning of 2007. Jalen, the 749th player in Woodville history began his career in the Autumn 2007 season with the Under 10 Woodville Lasers. Jalen made his debut in Round 2 of Autumn 2007, scoring 6pts in the Lasers 9-16 loss. Jalen has played in two Grand Finals, coming in Winter 2009 and Winter 2010. Jalen has played in two Premierships, coming in Winter 2009 with the Under 12 Lasers in Under 12 Division 2. The Lasers would salute a 19-1 season with the Premiership, Jalen contributing 10pts in the 28-23 triumph. In Winter 2010, Jalen scored 20pts as the Under 14 Division 3 Panthers took home the Premiership with a 37-23 win over Heathdale Red.
